Most children love the beach - but if you want a family day out at the seaside it is making sure beforehand that good facilities are available, such as ample parking, toilets and plenty of places to eat. If such research sounds hard work, do not worry - we have been doing already, and have chosen five of the most family friendly beaches in Snowdonia ..
You could argue that any beach is suitable for families, fee du logis to tell the truth: if there is no hint of sand, rock pools and plenty of space to run around, the majority of children are happy just to be there.
In our opinion, in addition to the usual elements - sand, sea, rock pools etc. - a beach that is perfect fee du logis for families plenty of facilities on hand. For example, somewhere to eat, public toilets, easy access for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and the occasional shop or two. We should not forget fee du logis either about the hot weather, sunny and warm sea with the lightest breath to swim in - but unfortunately such natural elements beyond our control!
Luckily enough, there are many beaches in Snowdonia ticked many of these boxes, so they are absolutely ideal for family visits. We can deliver the beaches, but in terms of weather ... you get the choice of your dates carefully!
Abersoch has three sandy beaches - Main Beach, Beach and Beach Quarry-the-Town. Abersoch village itself is a vibrant trendy surf scene with obvious and great places to shop - not to mention excellent places to eat and drink. In pursuit of the beaches you will find plenty of facilities there: car parks, toilets, cafe / shop, and plenty of water sports. fee du logis As Abersoch is one of Snowdonia's most popular beaches, the busy summer season the beaches there can be quite busy - but if the kids enjoy making new friends, they will see this advantage and not a disadvantage!
City Dinlle beach popular with locals as well as visitors Caernarfon area. After parking your car it is possible to walk along the long promenade that stretches from the Iron Age hill fort at one end, to the air museum and a small airport at the other end. Step down from the promenade on a rocky ledge, and below there is a sandy beach when the tide is low with small pools here and there (do not worry if you forgot your fishing net - there are several gift shops on level the street that sold, as well as all the usual seaside fee du logis paraphernalia). The City Dinlle excellent beach for swimming and water sports and the end of the summer there are spaces in the nice warm water swim in pleasure. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, and excellent ice cream kiosk. There are also public toilets and a small playground to keep the kids happy after they finish building sandcastles.
The Barmouth offers the essential seaside experience, with everything you could ask for during a family day at the beach. Soft golden sand? Life. And rolling sand dunes where you can skate? Life. Small fairground, toilets, cafes, shops and amusement arcades? Yes! Here are the most popular seaside resort South Snowdonia, and do not worry about too many people; Barmouth beach is huge, so there is plenty of room for everyone. Barmouth fee du logis also has an excellent harbor, where you can go on boat trips or walk and enjoy the beautiful view. And on those days when the beach is less appealing (as was said earlier, we can not ensure good weather) there are plenty fee du logis of indoor fee du logis attractions that together, form "On The Quay at Barmouth" - so there is plenty to do even on those days when the weather is not at its best.
Another popular seaside resort of Llanfairfechan is - and has been a great success among families since Victorian times. Like many Victorian resort has all the traditional elements fee du logis Llanfairfechan for the British seaside holiday fee du logis perfect: wide sandy beach, promenade, pavilion, shops and plenty of seaside activities. There is a children's playground, paddling pool, ample free parking, a skate park, a lake where those interested in model boats sailing their boats, two cafes near the beach and public toilets. Phew! A Penmaenmawr fee du logis Mountain stunning backdrop to all. What more could you ask for in a beach suitable fee du logis for families?
Although the access is excellent at Porth cold - must walk down quite a steep path from the car park, and although this is not too much of a problem, it's pretty tired on the way back to up - we could not write about family-friendly beaches Snowdonia excluding the permanent favorite. The English nicknamed 'Whistling Sands' is derived from the unusual quality sand, which squeaks when you stamp on it - so the kids loved it there. There is plenty of room to park thanks to extensive parking Gen Trust
